Offering Enhanced Services to Citizens
While some nearby cities are cutting back on services, the City of Oak Hill is continuing to offer
an enhanced level of services to its citizens.
Not only has the City added recycling services, the City has new, more responsive snow removal and chipper contractors. The City’s chipper contractor has also added a leaf vacuum service that means residents no longer have to bag leaves.
During Austin McMullen’s term as Mayor, the City has improved its openness and communication with residents. In addition to website enhancements and increased use of e-mail, the City is now using telephone blasts to inform residents of important community information, hearing notifications and weather warnings.

Austin McMullen joins Vice-Mayor Jennifer Claxton,
Forest Hills Mayor Bill Coke, Percy Priest Principal
Melinda Williams, representatives of the Percy Priest Elementary PTO and Percy Priest students for the ground-breaking on a new library. Oak Hill made a significant donation to help fund this new library at the zone public school serving Oak Hill students from kindergarten through fourth grade.
